Position Details

We are looking for a candidate to support one of our clients on site in their DC office. You will help to explore and create new means of presenting visual information to communicate sensitive, sometimes controversial topics; research, plan, write and produce visual information products for internal and external communication distributed to a diverse audience, while working with program and senior staff and other subject matter experts. Candidates will have written and visual portfolios, a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of direct work experience. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

What You'll Do

  • Capture broadcast quality content using a variety of audio and video equipment
  • Production of strong visual communication and narrative storytelling skills
  • In addition to new media efforts, the Assistant New Media Specialist will provide editing and original writing services for quick turnaround assignments as needed by the client

What It Takes

  • Proven experience with audio and video equipment; high definition camcorders, professional-grade microphone systems and lighting kits
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier, After Effects)
  • Experience with Avid editing
  • Knowledge of journalism methods relating to videography and writing
  • Excellent proofreading, copyediting and oral/written communications skills
