Position Details

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and proficient at creation and editing of social media content in an efficient and effective manner. We are seeking a mid-level editor with 3-5 years of experience as described in responsibilities and skills.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with the relevant teams and content contributors to develop and discuss strategies and plans for Spanish web content, to analyze Spanish web content needs, and to propose ways the Spanish web products can address those needs
  • Create and execute engaging, polished, on-brand Spanish ideas and content that are public-facing and consumer-driven
  • Work with colleagues to ensure new features and functionality exhibits high-quality Spanish content, fit in with the Agency’s style, and are easy to understand and use
  • Assist staff with gathering requirements and providing guidance on Spanish content issues (technical, editorial and user-centered) with various user groups
  • Coordinate with staff on draft documents, reviewing Spanish content, and suggest improvements, as needed
  • Provide content management for consumer-driven Spanish products
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical experts to present impacts and risks of the requirements gathered to appropriately frame choices for business owners
  • Ensure customers’ business needs, operational risks, and policy mandates are clearly understood and that project requirements are tailored to them
  • Provide project management services, such as assisting in managing requirements collection with team members and business units
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and business partners simultaneously while maintaining important particulars and details
  • Work with digital analytics tools, such as Radian
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand impact of digital analytics data, and how to effectively draft engaging Spanish content
  • Support content team in managing and inventorying existing web Spanish content
  • Planning the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable new Spanish content and working closely with managers to determine effective implementation

What It Takes

  • Experience creating engaging Spanish content on social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+.
  • Ability to think broadly and strategically about Spanish content and how it can be used by Spanish-speaking end-users.
  • Excellent Spanish social media writing and copy editing skills [writing sample or written test will be required]
  • Basic knowledge of consumer financial products and product terminology in Spanish (e.g., tarjetas de crédito, hipotecas, etc.)
  • Experience writing/drafting blog posts
  • Basic knowledge of consumer financial products (e.g. credit cards, student loans, etc.)
  • Preferred experience working for a civic or non-profit organization
  • Preferred journalism experience or work in a drafting/editing publication
