Position Details

CHIEF is looking for a social media marketing professional who is equal parts organized and innovative, and who loves taking a hands-on approach. This position will work at CHIEF headquarters as part of a highly collaborative team supporting one of our government clients. Driving impact for our clients requires sound vision and proven expertise around how to plan, develop, schedule, and execute digital marketing activities.

What You'll Do

  • Write creative content for social media platforms including blogs, social posts, and other content
  • Maintain multiple brand channels on social media, including posting information, generating content ideas, and monitoring trends
  • Plan, develop, and execute new marketing and communication strategies using a variety of channels (e.g., website, email newsletters, social media, multimedia) and identify opportunities to extend reach among target audiences
  • Develop content for marketing campaigns, including drafting and editing content for dissemination through platforms including email and social media
  • Recommend best practices and articulate process improvements and required changes
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate digital campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics and third party social media tools (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
  • Effectively manage marketing production and dissemination schedules to ensure timely execution of marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as appropriate including design, development, and user experience
  • Keep a pulse on emerging digital trends and use these insights to drive innovative campaigns

What It Takes

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required (can include internships)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Familiar with social media, email and other digital marketing best practices
  • Prefer experience with email and marketing tools, such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce, etc.
  • Prefer experience with analytics and planning tools including Google Analytics, AdWords, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and others
  • Prefer experience with government agencies
  • Must hold Bachelor’s Degree and be a U.S. Citizen
