Position Details

CHIEF is seeking a multifaceted Media Strategist with a passion for developing creative and data-driven marketing campaigns that deliver results. As part of the Marketing Strategy Team, you will work alongside marketing and brand strategists, designers and user experience experts to research, plan and execute cross-platform media plans. A curious mind combined with a passion for cross-functional collaboration are required to design cohesive strategies that utilize the full range of CHIEF’s expertise—together achieving powerful brand activations and meaningful customer engagement across platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Establish strategic direction and provide oversight for media planning and buying capabilities and associated client portfolio
  • Grow CHIEF’s media and brand activation portfolio by leading related business development, proposal and pitch activities, in addition to pursuing creative solutions across agency capability areas
  • Lead priority strategic media planning, campaign design, execution and optimization approaches for priority client engagements
  • Provide strategic guidance and insight across the entire media spectrum, including traditional, broadcast, digital, programmatic, OOH and mobile
  • Partner with the Marketing Strategy Team to ensure seamless campaign and activation design that spans owned, earned and paid channels through research and audience targeting
  • Maintain an intense focus on measurement and critical insights that go beyond the numbers to strengthen strategy and campaign designs, advancing the client’s mission
  • Provide guidance to and develop skills among the media team of variable experience
  • Negotiate with partner vendors and other parties to obtain the best value and quality results for client campaigns
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of industry advancements, as well as technology, tool and partner opportunities to inform continuous media strategy innovation

What It Takes

  • At least 6 years media and/or brand marketing experience
  • Deep experience with across advertising platforms and technologies (e.g. traditional, broadcast, digital, programmatic, social, OOH and mobile channels)
  • Hold a broad range of established vendor relationships and connections representing every platform and technology
  • Excellent research skills and experience with media research tools (e.g. comScore, GfK MRI, Kantar, etc.)
  • Experience using media management platforms and tools (e.g. Advantage, Sizmek, DoubleVerify)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation and facilitation), in both internal and client-facing settings with every level in an organization
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers, agency leadership and other teams
  • Must hold Bachelor’s Degree and be a U.S. Citizen
