I was on the ticket line at the train station in Poland, and I was very late for a train to the Czech Republic. I knew the words for train and ticket, but I couldn’t figure out how to tell the saleswoman that I needed sleeper seats, not upright seats. After several failed attempts, I took to my very bad drawing skills and sketched a picture of someone sleeping in a bed (z’s and all). She laughed, sold me the correct tickets, and sent me on my way, just in time.
