CHIEF is thrilled to show off our latest site launch: a redesigned website for No Kid Hungry, the first piece of a long-term partnership. The No Kid Hungry (NKH) campaign, run by nonprofit Share Our Strength, strives to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the U.S. and around the world, and we couldn’t be more excited to support their work with a stunning new digital presence.
Our mission with this redesign was multifaceted. As a nonprofit campaign, NKH is driven by donations and email signups. To incite these critical actions, they needed a site with a more streamlined user experience and strong calls to action throughout. On top of that, NKH administrators wanted their content management system to be, well, more manageable.
CHIEF took a user-first approach to the redesign, evaluating what users came to the website to do, and making sure we connected them to emotionally compelling content and imagery to help meet NKH’s conversion goals. The client team understood the need to tell visual stories and have more display options for video and long- and short-form content, so we worked with them to develop those pieces—resulting in a striking, intuitive web design.
We also migrated the site from the Drupal 7 platform to Drupal 8, making the content management system easier to use in the process. With plenty of contributors adding content internally, we wanted to make it as accessible as possible for all.
Take a look at this “before” photo, and then skim through the brand new NKH site to see how far we’ve come! This phase of our work with NKH was a true partnership, as we worked hand-in-hand with them on photography, copy and more.
We can’t wait to continue our work with No Kid Hungry. In the meantime, let us know on Facebook what you think of the new design!
