Marketing & Communications Strategy
Alden believes creative strategy is as much an art as it is science. Lucky for us, he’s a master of both. No, really. An accomplished artist in his spare time, Alden brings the same level of creative acumen to his work at CHIEF. From insightful notebook doodles to lengthy research reports and innovative data visualizations, everything he creates is thoughtful and precise, with a distinct point of view. As a member of CHIEF’s Strategy Team, Alden works with clients to identify their needs, then conducts research exercises (like interviews, surveys, focus groups and workshops) to deliver creative strategies that are backed by qualitative and quantitative data. Artful and analytical, Alden bridges the gap between “left brain” and “right brain” and challenges the notion that creativity lives in silos of specialization. Hats off!
Alden holds a BA in Political Science and Art from The College of William and Mary.
I’m an Army brat. I was born in California, and then grew up mostly in the DC area (with brief stints in Washington state and Kansas).
In college I got signed up for a fake study abroad program, then was stranded in Europe and had to find a new program and home. I did, and I learned Spanish!
I love anything by Christoph Niemann, an artist best known for his New Yorker covers. His work is perfectly balanced between playful and profound, and I look to him whenever I’m creatively stumped.
The National Cathedral is underrated IMO. It’s an excellent place for a run or walk, with lovely views and architecture that makes you forget what time and place you’re in.
