As it grew from a company that strictly offered financial literacy training, EVERFI lacked a clear brand that encapsulated its new reality as a multifaceted, multimillion dollar organization with the ability to create learning solutions on any subject matter, for any audience.

EVERFI first engaged CHIEF to create a brand platform and aligned visual identity that balanced the team’s passion for education with the power of the platform and partner network. To kick things off, CHIEF conducted user interviews with stakeholders from each of EVERFI’s six unique verticals—taking stock of priorities and motivations as well as what they value most in an Ed Tech partner. Armed with insights from these stakeholder interviews, as well as discussions with EVERFI’s internal teams, CHIEF saw a clear path forward for the EVERFI brand.

Equal parts excited and impressed with how we told the EVERFI story in a way that showcased its industry-leading status, as well as the playful enthusiasm of the team’s startup swagger, EVERFI immediately engaged us to incorporate the new brand into a custom trade booth for the 2017 Ted Conference. Our designers kicked their creativity, and number-crunching skills, into high-gear and gave our production partners exactly what they needed to bring the visuals into the 3D realm.

We saw the EVERFI story as one of creating limitless potential—flipping the switch on “Fi” meaning financial into Fi meaning “infinite”. Visually, this comes to life with a continuous sketch Design that opens up into modules based on vertical.

With all hands-on deck working with production to ensure effective implementation and consistency of the brand, we received word that EVERFI was set to announce a $190 million dollar TPG/Rise Fund investment—one the largest in DC tech history. In anticipation of the announcement, CHIEF simultaneously completed the trade show booth design while fast-tracking the rebranding of key elements on EVERFI’s website—creating a sleek refresh to priority pages sure to receive an influx of site visitors.

The result was a high-impact event experience that drew a crowd, and a site refresh that introduced EVERFI’s new identity to the world in style. Together, these showcase pieces have set the stage for a full-blown brand rollout and website redesign that will put the EVERFI brand on a trajectory for global recognition—comparable to that of its potential for infinite educational impact.
